Last night I visited the Top Secret Comedy Club!
In a time when top comedians are some of the biggest stars, and tour massive venues throughout the country, the thought of going underground to see some up-and-coming comedians up close appealed to me.

The Top Secret Comedy Club has recently moved location. It is a good space, with friendly staff, a great bar for a drink before the show and, most importantly, a collection of great comics ‘doing their thing’. I booked online and paid £5 for my ticket, which I picked up at the door. The MC was milling about talking to people and slowly everyone made their way from the bar area to the seating; which was centred around the small stage.
Benny Boot was headlining last night, and while his spot was very funny, I really enjoyed Joel Dommett who was the warm-up. Joel has a very charming way of placing himself in the middle of his very well observed scenarios.

For those of you, like myself, who have not been to a comedy club before… get along to Top Secret. It’s well located at the top end of Drury Lane.
