Jon Robin Baitz, having cut his teeth on television with writing credits for ‘Brothers And Sisters’ and contributing to scripts on ‘The West Wing’, has started his theatre career with a bang! Other Desert Cities took broadway by storm and now the Old Vic plays host to this impressive debut.
Starring: Sinead Cusack, Peter Egan, Clare Higgins, Daniel Lapaine and Martha Plimpton.
Economically and confidently directed by Lindsay Posner.
A simple and effective design by Robert Innes Hopkins.
Lighting by Peter Mumford, Sound by Christopher Shutt and music by Michael Bruce.
Once again The Old Vic is masterfully transformed from a deep playhouse, with a thrust stage that often seems cavernous, into an intimate “in the round” set-up. I love it in this this format.
