Storytelling

Introduction To Storytelling

John Bowles has spent his entire life Storytelling as an accomplished performer. He literally grew up on a weekly television variety program in Australia; every Saturday night for six years, singing and dancing his way into the hearts of the Australian audiences from the age of ten. He emerged as an adult theatre performer touring the world in major theatre productions like CATS and Phantom of the Opera.

In his long and varied career he has worked in all aspects of the entertainment industry including recording, producing, writing, directing and presenting.

In this thought-provoking workshop, John Bowles uses his extensive stage and television experience to both bring alive the practical techniques that will unlock your communication skills, and also give you greater confidence to use Storytelling in compelling ways; an important foundation for the development of your own technique, that works for you, to be used and built upon throughout your entire career.

John is currently developing an online application as well as a Workbook. Both will be available online soon!

John is proud to have led workshops for some of Europe’s leading companies:

STORYTELLING – The Secret Weapon for Mastering Public speaking and Influencing People.

This workbook, which I am currently in the midst of writing, is a companion to my live Storytelling Workshop that I present in Executive Education programmes to executives from all over the world.

It is designed to inspire you to try new things.  And for anyone who wishes to bring their public speaking to life with storytelling I trust that the techniques I describe, thoughts I share, and the exercises I suggest within its pages will give you guidance.

I enjoy my face-to-face interactions with executives of all ages.  I love to see their eyes full of thought and challenge.  It gives me great hope for the future.  We need leaders who can inspire, and the most effective way is storytelling.

Some pages will be motivational.  Others will be instructive.  Where possible, I will include some exercises for you to try.  And some pages will illustrate the lessons I have learned while developing my technique over a 50-year career in the show business and television industries.

This book will not have all the answers.  Those you will have to find.  But I hope this book will be a practical and enjoyable tool. The type of book you may pick up at any time to gain a little confidence or inspiration as you grow your own storytelling technique.
